This session will cover the economic and commodity snapshot, climate change impacts and adaptation options for mixed farming in the central west, international and domestic livestock markets and the influence of climate change. A Q&A panel will follow.
10:30 am – Morning Tea
11:00 am – Session Two Part One: Adaptation to Climate at Work – Innovation and Technology Success. This session will discuss effective grain storage techniques used to store grain to ensure global food security, adapting irrigated maize production to the changing climate, and asparagopsis seaweed as an all-natural dietary solution for methane reduction in cattle and sheep. A Q&A panel will follow.

1:10 pm – Session Two Part Two: Adaptation to Climate at Work – Innovation and Technology Success. This session will cover soil carbon as an essential part of resilient farming systems, pastures on mixed farms for a future climate, and tropical grasses in Central West NSW. A Q&A panel will follow.

This session will discuss wool and how it addresses climate change on and off-farm, spatial ag and how it’s used to tackle changes in climate, adapting to a changing environment with red meat research and development, and connectivity supporting farmers with drones in agriculture. A Q&A panel will follow.
